Noah, Joey & Anna
The oldest:
Noah. He is an amazing young man. He is 12 1/2 now, and almost as tall as his momma. Beautiful brown eyes, adorable smile and a contagious laugh. When you think of the name Noah, almost everyone thinks of the prophet Noah who built the ark. The ark was big, right? Well, that is how Lance and I describe his personality, his energy. BIG! :) You can almost 'feel' when Noah is in the house - he has a definite presence. He loves to be outside, riding his scooter, skateboard, ripstik, bike or building something. When he isn't busy building things or playing outside he can be found foam sword fighting with his brother or teasing his little sister or building with legos.
The second son:
Joey. This boy is tender-hearted and thoughtful....and mischievious too. :) His eyes are a really pretty green and he is always thinking of others. He will be 9 years old in just a couple weeks. He is skinny as a bean pole, but you'd never know it by his apetite! He is just as active as big brother - and he has LOTS of cuts, bruises and scrapes because he is ALWAYS on the move. He has a great imagination and loves to play with his army guys, Star Wars guys and legos and creates a whole world of his own. He plays with little sister REALLY well - and will even play house with her when she asks! :)
Baby girl:
Anna. Not really a baby anymore. Sniff. Just turned 4 yesterday. She has gorgeous blue eyes and is petite for her age. She is a great mix of girly-girl and rough and tumble that can TOTALLY keep up with her brothers! One minute she is all decked out in her prettiest princess attire and then 5 minutes later she is wrestling on the floor with Joey! Her favorite colors are pink and orange - and she recently told me that red and green are her favorites too. She is much more shy than Noah or Joey ever were at this age, she takes a little bit to warm up to people. I love that I can go to the store with her and never have to worry where she is....I just look down and she is RIGHT there beside me - that was NOT the case with her brothers when they were little.....nor is it the case even now that they are older! I sometimes refer to her as 'the calm' after the storm. (Translation: her brothers are 'the storm'....hahaha)
Our children:
Of course I need to say something very important when it comes to these precious souls that God sent to our family......Lance and I feel honored, blessed, grateful, and humble that 3 amazing birth mothers placed these precious children in our arms and gave us the opportunity to be parents. Without these 3 women, we would not have our family. To think of each one of them brings tears to our eyes and fills our hearts with indescribable love. Each of these women loved their children deeply and completely and had the courage to give them what they felt was a better situation in life. In our opinion, no other sacrifice can compare and we love these women with our whole hearts. They are a part of our family.
